WINEMAKER NOTES
Picked during cool evenings and gently pressed. Additives were kept to a minimum to make this Organic wine. Fermentation occurred at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks w to retain the fresh varietal aromatics. After fermentation, the wine underwent an extended period of lees contact, contributing to the length, weight and complexity which this hand-crafted wine displays.
VITICULTURIST NOTES
The 2024 season was characterized by low cropping levels and a very dry summer.
Vigour and fertility in this organic block are always very low. As a result, the vines are treated differently to normal Sauvignon Blanc, with extensive shoot thinning in Spring, hand leaf plucking in Sumer, and bunch dropping in Autum. Very small berries and open bunches are typical of this block. The fruit is clean and vibrant with thick skins wrapped around a pulpy centre.
